Grenadilla

Grenadilla or Passiflora edulis, is a climbing plant of the Passifloraceae family, native to Paraguay, Brazil and northeastern Argentina.
The fruit is a purple berry when ripe, 3-4 cm in diameter, containing numerous black seeds, surrounded by an edible aril. It is edible and has a mild flavor.
In Madagascar, the passion fruit is grown mainly on the east coast.
